80SNP – 80th anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising
The exhibition contains originals and replicas of period objects, equipment and weapons of the warring parties - the Slovak army, partisans, Soviet and German parties.
Here you will find a three-dimensional scale model of the Štefánik armored train, take a look inside the tank and bullet train.
The exhibition shows the disintegration of the Czechoslovak state, the creation of the Slovak state and the development of the SNP. It shows the rebel army, the German occupation forces, the Soviets and the partisans. Reprisals are also mentioned, which had a significant impact on the development of the fighting. The iconic symbol of the collection of artifacts is the helmet of the Czechoslovak army, model 32, the edge of which is lined with a 3 cm wide dark blue belt and a white double cross from the battles. In addition to offensive equipment, you can see a Remington typewriter, Slovak crowns used until 1939, a box of protection against chemical substances, or a sample of period propaganda printing.
The collections come from the VSM funds and are also on loan from the SNP Museum and the military history clubs KVH Svoboda and KVH Polom.
