Info from the organizer

The two-month festival of contemporary architecture showcases the Czech Republic and Prague as leaders in sustainable architecture, where it has become second nature. It highlights the importance of sustainable design in urban planning, creating high-quality public spaces, ensuring accessible housing, improving transportation infrastructure, and preserving the industrial heritage of historical sites.

The festival explores how contemporary architecture can address the challenges of the 21st century, particularly in preserving the quality of urban landscapes amidst climate and geopolitical shifts.

It serves as a platform to foster and strengthen cultural connections between Czech and Slovak experts, encouraging discussions on the development of urban areas in the post-industrial era. The program emphasizes architecture and urbanism as key tools for societal progress in the 21st century.

ArchiCzech Festival is held under the patronage of H.E. Rudolf Jindrák, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Slovakia, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the City of Prague, the City of Košice, the Czech Architecture Foundation, and Zumtobel Lighting. It aligns with the long-term strategy of the organizing association, ARCHITECTURA, to use contemporary architecture as a pivotal factor in preserving urban landscapes and public spaces through international partnerships.
