CASSOVIA BONSAI 2025

We invite you to the CASSOVIA BONSAI 2025 exhibition, which will take place from May 8 to May 11, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the indoor spaces of the UPJŠ Botanical Garden.

The exhibition is held under the auspices of the Japanese Ambassador to the Slovak Republic, His Excellency Mr. Yasuhiro Kawakami, who has promised to personally participate. As part of his visit, he will award a prize for the most beautiful bonsai and plant a tree in the Alley of Distinguished Persons.

Throughout the exhibition, there will be sales of indoor and outdoor bonsai and accessories needed for bonsai care, as well as consulting services.

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the botanical garden and the 15th anniversary of the founding of the Bonsai Center Košice, the exhibition will be supplemented with an interesting program:

Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. – bonsai shaping competition for registered participants

Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. – martial arts demonstration

Saturday and Sunday 10.5. and 11.5.2025 – exhibition of miniature trees

SHOHIN size and also small, naturally occurring or shaped SUISEKI stones with a demonstration of making DAIZA pads

Saturday and Sunday, May 10 and 11, 2025 – Dobrá Čajovňa Košice – offering various Japanese and world types of tea, demonstration of traditional qigong exercises and Falun Gong meditation.
