Documentary awarded the Golden Bear at the 2024 Berlinale. The journey of 26 stolen treasures from the Kingdom of Dahomey, which were exhibited in Paris and are now returning to Benin.

November 2021. 26 royal treasures from the Kingdom of Dahomey are set to leave Paris and return to their country of origin, present-day Benin. They were stolen along with thousands of other artifacts by French colonial troops in 1892. But what attitude should be taken towards the return of ancestors to a country that has had to move forward in their absence? This is also the subject of lively debate among students at the University of Abomey-Calavi.
