Dan Bárta - concert (Summer in Kulturpark)

One of the Summer evenings in Kulturpark will be dominated by the eleven-time Anděl Award winner in the categories Singer of the Year and Singer of the Quarter Century, Dan Bárta. With his unmistakable voice, excellent singing technique, and lyrics that play with the charm of Czech, he has been enchanting listeners across generations and musical genres for twenty-five years. He will present his fifth album Beauty and Swirling Dust to the Slovak audience, but songs from previous ones will also be performed on July 20, 2025 at 7:00 p.m.

He became widely known in the 1990s with the band Alice and his performance in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar in the role of Jesus and later Judas, and a few years later he also played the character Che in the musical Evita. He also became an integral part of the cult group JAR. In April 2000, he surprised fans with his own band Illustratosphere, which will accompany him in Košice in a changed lineup. They are world-class musicians - Filip Jelínek (keyboards), Róbert Balzar (double bass, bass guitar), Martin Valihora (drums) and Miroslav Chyžka (guitars). The band has so far released 5 studio albums and a double album of concerts.
