We invite you to listen live to an unusual combination of two creative worlds - the jazz group Marek Szarvaš Projekt and the poetic author and singer Skyva.

Accompanied by seasoned musicians, a high-quality musical statement by both authors - Marek Szarvaš and Skyva - is prepared for you.

Thanks to previous cooperation, Skyva and Marek Szarvaš Projekt decided to expand their joint repertoire and offer their combined forces in Košice for the first time.

At the concert, they will present both individual and joint works. The songs and compositions prepared for you range from the gentle vocal lines and deep lyrics that we are used to with Skyva to the energetic solos, colorful melodic lines and unique combination of jazz, pop and world music in Marek Szarvaš Project. During the concert evening at Fugue, it will not only be a harmony of two authorial worlds, but also an interplay of several genres.

More about Marek Szarvaš Project: This is a group around the Košice drummer and composer Marek Szarvaš. The project is a combination of musicians of various genres, interpreting original authorial compositions naturally and musically. The group's repertoire consists of its own creations and improvisations combining elements of jazz, world music and pop with an emphasis on melody and distinctive lines. Marek Szarvaš has collaborated and is collaborating with well-known Slovak performers (Hrdza, Kristína, Katka Koščová), as well as with excellent singers such as Veronika Harcsa or Susanna Jara. He has two albums to his credit, his debut ...and the rest of the world (2018) and his second album Light Outside (2022), both released by Hevhetia and both nominated for the Esprit award, which is awarded to jazz albums. He has already presented his work at several leading Slovak jazz festivals.

More about Skyva: Košice-based lyricist, composer, musician and poet Zuzana Eperješiová has authored fifteen different music-poetic and music albums within two independent projects. As Skyva, she has been presenting her work on the Slovak music scene for about ten years. Her album Zrkadlo (2018) was nominated for the Radio_Head Awards, and in October 2023 she released her latest music album Z exilu , both albums were brought to listeners by the Hevhetia publishing house.

Skyva is gradually expanding her portfolio of original music for radio plays and theater productions (e.g. Myšacia bundička; Dialogues about old age; About Paľovi, čo sa ani čerta nebál; Ductový príběh, and others). She has also collaborated with various other artists - singer Sima Magušinová, actor and director Peter Cibul, actor Martin Juríček, dancers Palko and Ivka Dankovce.
