Gulags - the first victims of communism in Slovakia
The Museum of Victims of Communism and Memores oz have prepared the exhibition Gulags - the first victims of communism in Slovakia, which brings powerful stories, historical facts, maps of transports and descriptions of the inhumane conditions of Soviet labor camps - gulags, in which thousands of deportees from Slovakia had to live (and die).
It is not only a remembrance of the past, but also a call to the future – to remember, to learn, and to prevent a repeat of one of the darkest chapters of the 20th century.
The exhibition is open to the public in the Kasární/Kulturpark area between the Alfa and Bravo buildings from April 14 to May 11, 2025.
