JBL JUMP FEST 2025

For decades, athletics did not attract the people of Košice to the stadiums, nor athletes to Košice. That is why the civic association Atletika Košice decided to invite the people of Košice and athletes to the streets of Košice. The JBL JUMP FEST project brings athletics as close as possible to the people and is a pioneer in urban athletics in Slovakia, the so-called street athletics. The beautiful scenery of the St. Elizabeth Cathedral during athletics competitions is an experience not only for spectators but also for world-class athletes. The competitions themselves are an advertisement for athletics and motivate children to start taking up the queen of sports.

In 2016, the idea of organizing a ski jumping meeting in the heart of Košice began to emerge, which would revive not only the local ski jumping tradition. That is why if you look at our logo, it contains the word “Jump”, which means jump, and a picture of one of the Velďák sisters, very successful graduates of the Košice ski jumping school.
