Jindřich Štreit – From darkness to light

Czech documentary photographer and university teacher, curator and organizer of cultural life Jindřich Štreit focuses on documenting life in the countryside. He also devoted himself to the topic of agriculture, hard work in factories (books People of Třinecký železáren, Vítkovice, Ocelový svět). Recently, he has been dealing with social issues about drug addicts, the disabled, the blind, prisoners, the elderly, health care workers, and the homeless. He is also close to sacred themes (the cycles Gate of Hope or Divine Providence).
