The theme of the play Bullet Bombuľko is friendship and social inclusion as an expression of human nature, which is enhanced in the fairy tale by the altruism of the main character. It is because of his kind heart that the animals in Bullet Bombuľko's yard quickly become fond of him. He gives everyone a piece of his warm wool.

In 2019, we will commemorate the centenary of the significant Slovak writer for children and youth, Mária Ďuríčková. This milestone anniversary was one of the reasons that prompted the dramaturgy of the Puppet Theatre in Košice to reach for the author's fairy tale About Guľko Bombuľko. The charming fairy tale was created in 1962 and is still loved by children today. It is intended for the youngest readers and, in our case, the audience. The main character in the production is truly atypical, because she is a curious ball of wool that one day falls out of her grandmother's basket and rolls into the yard. There, the friendly ball gets to know all its inhabitants. Although the theme is based on material close to children's imagination, the author of the script Peter Palik replaced the narrator in Ďuríčková's prose with two actors. Guľko Bombuľko's best friend will be Pipka the hen. But not everyone from the yard is truly a sincere friend. For example, the cunning cat Líza grinds her teeth on all his wool and almost tears him apart in the process. Bullet Bombuľko experiences many cheerful and adventurous events with the animals. As is often the case with Mária Ďuríčková, in our production the story of the main character ends happily.

The production is suitable for children from 3 years old.
