Mareena's book club

Do you like books? Do you want to discover not only foreign but also Slovak literature, improve your Slovak and better understand Slovak realities? Come to the new regular meetings of book lovers and become a member of the Mareena Book Club

Book club meetings will take place every three weeks, on Fridays, in the premises of the Mareena language and community room, located at Hlavná 68. In the summer months and in case of favorable weather, meetings can also be held in one of the Košice parks.

The activity was initiated by our volunteer Anna, a passionate reader who brought valuable experience in leading a book club from her native Ukraine. She would like to learn more about the country that has become her new home through her beloved books and at the same time improve her Slovak language through reading. Anna is looking for like-minded people who share a love of books, curiosity and a desire to explore new worlds, both domestic and foreign.

That is why foreign as well as local literature lovers are welcome in our club.
