Marius von Mayenburg: PERPLEX
A brilliant comedy by a leading German playwright that oscillates between conversational and absurd comedy with elements of the grotesque. Nothing is as it initially seems. Coming home from vacation and an unpaid electricity bill is a harmless episode compared to what awaits Eva and Robert. You can't be sure of anything, not even yourself. After all, is it me at all? And is it my wife? And do we have a child? Who are the people who are in our apartment now? How is it that the apartment doesn't belong to us? The play therefore also raises questions of identity and what is hidden behind the curtain of our ordinary life.
