TRIUMPH OF ROYAL INSTRUMENTS:

Organ and Brass ensemble in a unique musical union

Classical music lovers can look forward to an exceptional concert that promises an unforgettable artistic experience. The center of attention will be the royal instrument - the organ - in perfect symbiosis with the majestic Brass Ensemble. This exceptional musical event will take place on May 18, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the Seminary Church of St. Anthony of Padua in Košice.

What makes this concert so special? The combination of the organ and the 16-piece Brass Ensemble creates a unique sound experience, which is the result of the majesty of the organ and the clear sound of the brass instruments. This combination of instruments brings a unique auditory sensation and guarantees an unforgettable experience.

The hour-long concert program is carefully crafted to please even the most demanding listeners. It consists of works by late Romantic composers Eugén Gigout, Mikuláš Moyzes, and Franz Schmidt.

The highlight of the program will be a performance of Schmidt's "Fuga solemnis" for organ, 16 brass instruments and drums . This monumental work is a demonstration of the composer's supreme mastery and musical genius, and its concert performance will be a truly exceptional event.

The concert is a joint project of the Peter Dvorský Timonov 2 Conservatory in Košice and the Prešov ARTIS Chamber Music Festival, whose artistic director is the conservatory's teacher, Mgr. art Dagmar Duždová.
