Peter Cibula: ABOUT PAĽ, WHO WASN'T AFRAID OF A DEVIL
A fairy tale story, written on the motifs of Dobšinský's fairy tales. The narrators of the story are an angel and a devil, as representatives of good and evil, who observe and comment on our human actions, thus offering the possibility of interaction with the viewer. At the same time, they are an image of the good and the bad in us. But what we choose is solely up to us.
In order to know/find out where we want to go, we should know where we come from. And so we go back in time, to the time of our ancestors. Good old folk proverbs remind us of the life wisdom of peasant wisdom, for example, that a lie has short legs. But with humility and kindness in your heart you will succeed and get along in the whole world. And how will our Paľo do? This will be revealed by his journey - cheerful and dangerous, with humor and songs - during which the boy becomes a young man. The production is supported by a strong visual component and songs.
