Relaxing guided tour: Edita Spannerová – A Woke Night

We invite you to a relaxing guided tour of the exhibition Prebdená noc, which will take place on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the East Slovak Gallery at Hlavná 27 in Košice.

The exhibition Awake Night by the artist Edita Spannerová focuses on the gaze. It does not attempt to present her work comprehensively, either in terms of chronology or through references to similarities and inspirations from art history. It seeks a contemporary gaze. Mysterious, disturbing, empty, dark, melancholic, deep, tired, anonymous, even alien. It reflects one of the most striking features of her style - the recurring deep black eyes without pupils, which are either conspicuously absent or mentioned only marginally and briefly in previous art historical interpretations.

Relaxed guided tours are designed for seniors who want to experience the gallery from a different perspective. Parents with small children are also welcome. Use your free time to visit the art gallery. Once a month, you can participate in a special guided tour for free, which will be given to you by the curators and lecturers of the East Slovak Gallery.
