What happens to a robot when he finds himself on a deserted island? DreamWorks Animation, the creators of the How to Train Your Dragon series , says that in the animated adventure Wild Mind, the main character finds, among other things, a heart.

The robot from the product series "Rozzum" (for friends Roz) was designed to reliably fulfill the tasks of her human clients. However, when an accident traps her on an island where there are no people, she has no idea what to do with her newfound freedom. At the same time, she must adapt to the inhospitable conditions of a piece of land in the middle of the ocean, inhabited exclusively by animals. Fortunately, Roz has such advanced software that it is not a problem for her to learn to communicate and cooperate with the local inhabitants. She even becomes the adoptive mother of an orphaned gosling. All her experiences and experiences gradually lead to the realization that where there was previously only a flawless computer program, there are now thoughts, opinions, ideas and, above all, feelings, which are sometimes imperfect. In short, the robot girl has become more human in a world without people. She is mainly worried about the robot manufacturers, who are desperately searching for her, missing one machine, and caring for her adopted bird son, who she must prepare to fly to warm countries before winter arrives.

The film Wilderness is an adaptation of the world bestseller by author Peter Brown. The main character's name bears a Czech trace, referring to the work of Karel Čapek and Rossum's universal robot from his play R.U.R. Director Chris Sanders (creator of the films How to Train Your Dragon and The Krusty Krab ) discovered the book through his daughter's homework and immediately fell in love with it . "I also like big adventure stories, but I'm even more pleased when I can observe small, almost intimate emotional moments in them that I take away from the cinema. I also like to focus on these scenes as a filmmaker and I enjoyed it immensely while creating this work," says director Sanders.
