Gaspard and Clémence are seniors who enjoy a comfortable and happy life in a beautiful apartment. Their days are peaceful, and although they occasionally have minor arguments, these are just manifestations of their impulsive natures. Their son Lucas lives happily with the beautiful Manon, and together they raise their young son Robert. Family life goes according to plan until something unexpected happens. Lucas and Manon get into a passionate argument that reveals an unexpected truth to their parents. Manon has a lover and goes on vacation with him, which opens the door to shocking and surprising revelations.

When the young couple decide to leave, Gaspard and Clémence find themselves in a dilemma about what to do with Lucas's marriage. Gaspard believes that divorce is inevitable, but Clémence is against it. The discussion soon turns into a heated exchange of opinions, in which long-hidden secrets are revealed. Their relationship is on the brink, and what's worse - the truth that comes to light could destroy everyone.

"Silence is Gold" is a story that shows that not everything that is hidden is better left a secret.
