Train Parade 2025
The popular Train Parade will return to the premises of the Train Depot of the Slovak Railway Company in Košice in 2025. The traditional event for railway enthusiasts will take place during the weekend of May 10 and 11, 2025 at Pri bitúnku 2.
Railway technology exhibition
Visitors will have the opportunity to admire historical and modern railway technology through an extensive exhibition that will present the development of railway transport in our territory. The organizers have prepared a rich program for all age categories.
One of the main attractions will be the official launch of the collector's commemorative €0 banknote with the motif of the Vectron locomotive. For the youngest railway fans, a big surprise will be the introduction of the Train Patrol, which will certainly interest the child visitors.
Experiences for the whole family
The program also includes the opportunity to ride locomotives, a tour of a model railway, nostalgic RETRO bus rides around Košice, and demonstrations of police, fire and military equipment. For those interested in studying in the field of transport, a presentation of transport schools will be available along with career advice.
A practical advantage for visitors will be the provision of a shuttle service from the railway station to the depot area, which will be provided free of charge. Lovers of non-traditional locomotive models will be interested in a special exhibition by Ján Novák entitled "Locomotives a little differently".
Practical information
Admission to the event is set at €5 for adults, €2.50 for children and €12 for a family ticket, with tickets valid for both days of the event.
The 2025 Railway Parade is organized by the Slovak Railway Company in cooperation with the Košice Self-Governing Region, the Košice City Transport Company (DPMK) and the city of Košice, with the support of the European Union, the Slovakia Program and the Ministry of Transport of the Slovak Republic.
