VIRVAR 2025

The International Puppet Theatre Festival 𝐕𝐈𝐑𝐕𝐀𝐑 is entering its 13th year and will bring a diverse range of theatre forms, stories and art worlds to Košice on 𝟓. 𝐚𝐳̌ 𝟖. 𝐣𝐮́𝐧𝐚 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓. The festival, traditionally organised by the Puppet Theatre of the Košice Region, will offer exceptional productions for children, youth and adult audiences from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Ukraine and Poland.

This year's program will bring powerful statements, visually captivating productions and interactive experiences. Visitors can look forward to the Children's Virvarík, including Virvarpress, which will offer children a unique opportunity to become festival reporters.

For thirteen years, the Virvar Festival has been confirming that puppetry is a distinctive art form that appeals to audiences regardless of age or origin.
