Fountain of Signs by Arpad Raček
Sit in the heart of the historic monument reserve by the popular Fountain of Signs, where you will feel the soul of the romantic city and relaxing atmosphere to the fullest next to naughty children, couples in love and debating students enjoying a pleasant afternoon break with an ice cream in hand.
The round-shaped fountain of signs has served as a meeting point for Kosice residents and tourists since the 1990s and is decorated with sculptures of the zodiac by the academic sculptor Arpad Raček. Interestingly, the round fountain is a replica of an old water fountain from 1908 designed by former city engineer Gabriel Göndör.

Fountain by Maria Bartuszova at the Dargov OD
Admire the exceptional sculptural work of the fountain by the famous Dargov department store at the southern end of the Main Street. The artist is the acclaimed academic sculptor Mária Bartuzsová (1936-1996), whose artistic legacy continues to achieve increasing international recognition - just a few years ago, Bartuzsová's artworks became exhibition objects at London's Tate Modern gallery.
Bartusz's distinctive technique is characterised by organic forms with an emphasis on geometric abstraction. This fountain behind a department store references the sculptor's signature style and immortal artistic legacy. Stop by during your walk down Main Street and take a look at Imrich Vanek's large sculpture at the entrance to OD Dargova.

The Fountain of the Three IV - Ján Mathé
For the fountains of Košice by world-famous authors, continue your longer walks to the Západ housing estate, nicknamed Terasa by the locals, for example. Stop here for a bit of quiet conversation and admiration for the artistic style with an eternal message by the academic sculptor Ján Mathý, whose works can be found in almost every part of the city.
In the grounds of Zuzka Park, there is a striking but dilapidated fountain with a colossal, towering sculpture titled Three IVs (Standing Family IV). The abstract depiction of a family by the unique Košice sculptor, like most of his artworks, expresses the artist's typical spiritual themes, such as family, fetus and the birth of life.
