On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the opening of the first planetarium in Slovakia, the Slovak Technical Museum in Košice has prepared an accompanying event for the general public. In cooperation with the Regional Observatory and the Zemplín Cultural Centre in Michalovce, the programme '50 YEARS WITH US UNDER THE STARS'has been created and will take place on 4 December 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The event will offer a varied scientific-popularisation programme for children, families and astronomy enthusiasts alike. Visitors can look forward to a digital planetarium, expert lectures, interactive exhibitions, virtual reality and competitions.

Space agents involved in the search game can look forward to the announcement of the winners of the year-long Space AgentCompetition at 6:30 pm (after the last lecture) .

With this event, the Slovak Technical Museum celebrates half a century of popularization of astronomy and science. The aim is to introduce the public to the beauty of the universe, to inspire young people to take an interest in natural sciences and technology, and to recall the importance of the planetarium as a gateway to the mysteries of the universe.
