A Summer Full of Science at SteelPark |
The “Summer at Kulturpark 2026” program will offer a wealth of experiences for visitors of all ages during the summer vacation. The rich program will also include popular science workshops at the SteelPark science playground, which reveal the fascinating laws of the world around us in a playful way. One of them is a workshop with the unconventional title “Let’s Cook It Scientifically.”
Few people realize, when preparing food, just how much physics and chemistry is taking place right in the kitchen. This workshop, which will take place on July 29 at 3:00 p.m., will reveal this hidden side of everyday activities by transforming ordinary ingredients into tools for discovery and experimentation. Participants will learn that behind fluffy baked goods, changes in the state of matter, and seemingly simple kitchen processes lie scientific principles that influence our lives every day.
There will be fun experiments, interactive demonstrations, and moments that will surprise not only children but also adults. There will also be an engaging hands-on segment during which science will literally merge with a taste experience.
The goal of the workshop is to show that science is not distant or complicated. On the contrary, we encounter it every day—often without even realizing it. Through hands-on exploration and practical activities, visitors will discover how processes that we normally take for granted actually work.
Tickets can be purchased at www.k13.sk or at the SteelPark reception desk. Admission is 8 euros per child. One accompanying adult pays 4 euros; a second accompanying adult pays 8 euros—tickets are sold only on-site.
