A. Totiková: One, two, three - you're out!

The main characters of the work are grandfather Juraj and grandmother Gitka, who win a trip around the world. During this amazing adventure they visit five world capitals on five continents. From Košice they will go to London, then to New York, they will also visit Sydney, Mumbai and Cape Town. They will be supported by their grandchildren, who will help their grandparents with flights, English, mobile phones and navigation.

The production One, two, three... You're out of the game! is unique in that it naturally alternates between two languages, Slovak and English. Our heroes, Grandma and Grandpa from Košice, travel across five continents, countries where English is spoken, but they communicate with each other in Slovak. However, in a foreign country they have to cope with English with their hands and feet, as it happens in life. Together with the heroes of our production, the audience will learn the vocabulary needed to cope with a stay abroad. This includes travel, restaurant situations, greetings, thank you, apologies, shopping, but also colours, directions, numbers or animals. There are over 100 English words and phrases and over 20 geographical facts in the production. The story also carries the idea of the importance of good relationships between grandparents and grandchildren, of understanding across generations. Grandparents can pass on a wealth of experience to grandchildren and give them good advice. In turn, grandchildren can introduce grandparents to the use of modern technology, mobile phones, computers and all sorts of applications. This play is the second in the theatre's repertoire from the production team led by author and director Adriana Totikova. Adriana Totikova's first production at the Puppet Theatre in Košice is the popular Not/after/decent Linda.
