Botanical mystery

The exhibition Botanical Mystery explores new forms of exhibition and curation. It works with the collections of the East Slovak Gallery (VSG) and the Botanical Garden (BZ) of the UPJŠ in Košice. It is based on the study of the unique mutual exchange of selected collection objects of these institutions. In the premises of the “anthurium” greenhouse in the Botanical Garden of the UPJŠ, works of art are presented, and in the East Slovak Gallery on Alžbetina Street, plants are presented as part of the “Jungle” exhibition. The basis of both exhibitions is not only the exchange of collections, but also the awareness of the common priorities of both institutions - systematic collection, professional protection, scientific research, precise sorting, high-quality education and an impressive experience for the viewer.
