EuroVelo Explorers 2. Košice - Kéked

EuroVelo 11 is an international long-distance cycle route that starts in Athens, Greece, and ends in Nordkap, Norway, crossing 12 countries for a total length of approximately 6 500 km. In Slovakia, it crosses the Košice and Prešov regions from north to south and has a length of 203 km.

From Cyklokuchyň, we cross the state border approximately 60 km to Kéked and back. There will be short stops at several interesting places and a longer break for lunch. The ride will take approximately 4 hours, total journey 5-6 hours.

Trip participants should bring drinks, food, layered clothing and be prepared to fix any flats on the bike themselves. The route will be on bike paths, dirt roads, and asphalt roads. A road bike with narrow tyres may not be suitable, a gravel, cross or trekking bike is best.

The ride is open to all, but if you're not sure if it will suit you, come and talk to us at the Cycle Kitchen on Wednesday during the open workshop.
