The phenomenon known as Kavej returns to the big screen with a sequel that promises an even greater dose of heartwarming humor and situations suspiciously close to reality. The story takes place five years after the first film and follows Klára (Anna Jakab Rakovská) and Štanci (Pavol Šimun), whose life under the same roof with Klára’s dictatorial mother-in-law (Lenka Bariliková) brings unexpected pitfalls. However, their cabin fever is soon disrupted by Štanci’s cousin, the eternal drifter Šimon (Daniel Žulčák).
When Veronika (Jana Kovalčiková) experiences heartbreak, Klára decides to rescue her and takes her to Šírava, where, together with the brides from the unit (Lýdia Ondrušová, Zuzana Dancáková, and Dana Droppová) they set off on a girls’ trip with a clear goal—to find her a new guy! While the girls are looking for love, the men, along with the children, head into the woods in search of adventure. Klára Sr. and Berty (Braňo Matuščin) also try to reignite their relationship, but their plan soon begins to spiral out of control. In addition to the beloved heroes, the sequel also features other great actors such as Alena Ďuránová, Kristián Baran, Branislav Deák, Robo Jakab, Adrián Urda, and Jaro Kyseľ. And, of course, the legends can’t be missing either—the priest (Ander—Ján Pisančin) and the famous singer played by Peter Stašák.
The screening will take place at Amfik on Festival Square and will begin after dark (around 9:00 p.m.). You can purchase tickets online, at the Úsmev Cinema box office, or directly on-site before the event. The final ticket price includes a €0.50 processing fee added to each ticket at the payment gateway. In the event of cancellation, this fee is non-refundable.
Screenings will take place regardless of the weather, except in the event of hazardous conditions (in which case a cancellation notice will be posted and tickets will be refunded to all attendees).
