SALTY SUGAR
The curator of the exhibition Lucia Gavulováwrites:
'Denisa Slavkovska's abstract paintings present a tender visual, but the motifs
of their creation are also rooted in the darkness of the artist's experience
and projections about the world.
The installation is reminiscent of the approaches of surrealist or biomorphic paintings, where the body is deconstructed, in a position of emotional rather than materialistic experience. Here the artist addresses questions of human vulnerability, courage
to openness or the ability to accept alien elements - viruses, body substitutes, implants
- but also interpersonal relationships.'
