Following the hugely successful *The Worst Person in the World* (2021), director Joachim Trier returns with a sensitive comedy-drama about a house and the joys and sorrows of the family that has lived there for decades. The film won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival.

Sisters Nora and Agnes are reunited with their estranged father after many years. The charismatic and once-famous director Gustav offers his daughter, the stage actress Nora, a role in a film that is meant to mark his return to directing and the culmination of his career. When Nora turns down the offer, he casts the enthusiastic young Hollywood star Rachel Kemp in her place.

This sets off a series of humorous and painfully honest encounters, during which Nora and Agnes come to terms with their complicated family relationships and the unexpected presence of the American star.
