Marathonian’s Statue

Meet the Marathonian’s Memorial running through the air to deliver that crucial message. Its statue by Arpád Račko from 1959 can be found at the Košice Peace Marathon Square as a tribute to Europe’s oldest marathon and the third oldest marathon in the whole world. Run around the famous Pheidippides and pay respect to his sacrifice of delivering the important message about Persia’s defeat.
