Ľubomír Slovinský

Throughout the pre-Christmas period, souvenirs are available only in person at the Visit Košice Infopoint on Hlavná 59, Monday to Friday, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The design of the wall clock is a cross-reference to one of the most iconic buildings of Košice. The department store from the 1960s, formerly known as PRIOR, is complemented by a minimalist concrete facade by sculptor Jana Bartošová Vilhanová. It uses a rhythmical pattern of three different tiles, and the same style was adopted for the wall clock design. The brutalist building by the architect Růžena Žertová is undeniably a symbol of irreplaceability and the quality of modern architecture from the second half of the 20th century.

Ľubomír Slovinský

Virtual art and work with various materials in order to reach digital detox: Ľubomír Slovinský works with design, objects, and digital media. Those interests can be directly linked to his studies at the Studio of Art Design at The Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Bratislava, or the Studio of Digital Media at the Academy of Arts, Banská Bystrica. He often reflects on the space in his artworks, either natural or urban, which is also visible in the wall clock design inspired by the signature Košice architecture. Ľubomír is also active in nearby Gelnica, working with the projects such as Západnú KÚT, Volovské, or Gelnické Iluminácie festival.
