Observation tower Hradová

See the city like in the palm of your hand from the legendary Hradová Observation Tower with three observation terraces in close proximity to Košice Castle. Its current form replaced the historic Rákoci lookout tower, which stood here since 1909. From the over 21-metre high tower, you can take a detailed look at the colourful spires of the churches in the town's conservation area as well as the distant Slanské and Volovské vrchy mountains.

The Hradová Lookout Tower can be reached by a hiking trail with a yellow sign from Čermeľ or by bus No. 29. Tourists will also be pleased with relief maps on all sides of the world with descriptive markings of the highest points in the vicinity of the town. The latest addition to the tower is the recently modernised suspension footbridge, which will be appreciated by visitors of all ages and lovers of nature photography.
