Our exhibition programme for 2026 is conceptually based on the theme of dialogues between couples. As part of this year's theme, Expect the Unexpected! we will be presenting a joint exhibition of two distinctive artists, Boris Sirk and Štefan Sekáč.

The Story of the Vizsoly Bible

Guided tour of the exposition in the building of the State Scientific Library in Košice at ul. Pri Miklušova jail No. 1 brings closer the circumstances of the creation of the first complete translation of the Bible into Hungarian. Through exhibition panels and guided tours, the public will learn about the historical background and personalities behind the creation of this precious Bible, of which only about 60 copies have survived worldwide.

In addition to the original 1590 Vizsoly Bible, there will also be an opportunity to browse through its digitised form on a MonkeyBook device and see a collection of over a thousand historical prints published in the 16th century. The discovery of the printing press, the difficult process of printing books in the early period and the development of the printing craft in Košice will be presented. Visitors will also be able to see a printing press from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries and metal letters for typesetting text with a practical demonstration.

Ráchel Jutka - The Paradox of Proximity

Ráchel Jutka's exhibition works with the paradox of proximity and distance through a dialogue between painting and installation. The artist uses the historical photographic technique of cyanotype to transfer the image in digital format directly onto the canvas, thus merging the archaic medium with a contemporary visual language and thematising the tension between the rapid digital consumption of images and their slow, tangible materialisation.

Through fragmentation, layering and stitching, he creates compositions that disrupt the traditional understanding of the image as a closed whole and open up a space for associative readings based on personal memories, symbols and materials bearing traces of time. The exhibition thus explores the extent to which an image can be a vehicle for relationship, not just representation. What appears abstract and distant may in fact be intimate and physically present.

Discover the secrets of Urban's Tower - St. Urban will guide you through the secrets of the Mass wine and the history of his famous tower. Experience the Middle Ages while casting your own seal and minting a medieval coin.

Let yourself be carried away by the atmosphere of the past and wander with us in the thoughts of medieval pilgrims. St. Urban doesn't stop with surprises and lets you dress as the pilgrims once did on their often dangerous journeys.

Our studio will allow visitors to see the space in which the artist's clothing and artwork is created. You will have the opportunity to encounter a variety of artistic techniques, from silk, acrylic and printmaking to fashion designs and original jewellery.

The studio also includes an exhibition space and a small gallery with paintings and utilitarian objects. At 7 pm on the terrace of the studio there will be a small Saxophone soiree performance by the pupils of the ĽŠU Mária Hemerková from Košice under the direction of Mgr. art . A. Kačmarová.
