Do you have a little engineer or a tech enthusiast at home? Bring them along on August 5, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. to build their own robot, discover the basics of programming, and experience a summer full of science at SteelPark in a fun and interactive way.

During this one-hour workshop, participants will dive into the fascinating world of robotics, mechatronics, and computer science. They’ll discover how a popular LEGO set can be transformed into a smart robot capable of moving on its own, reacting to its surroundings, and performing various tasks.

Using special LEGO Education SPIKE Prime kits, they’ll try their hand at both designing and programming. They can choose from several creative challenges—building sports robots, smart cars, or moving mechanical animals. They will then program their models in an intuitive programming environment, test their functionality, and refine them so that they can successfully complete the prepared tasks.

The workshop introduces the basic principles of algorithmic thinking and cybernetics in a playful way. Children will learn how the control unit, sensors, and motors—the three inseparable components of every robot—work together.
