Every city has its history and its white spots in it. Arnošt Goldflam has prepared a Slovak adaptation of his play At Home with the Hitlers (from Hitler's Kitchen) especially for Košice, in which some of the white spots are perhaps too blackened. At Home with the Hitlers is a fiction that returns to the theme of the Second World War with grotesque humour. In this contemporary play by Czech playwright Arnošt Godflam, serious themes and references to the horrors of World War II are interwoven with intimate stories and reflections on the state of the world in the kitchen of Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun. This will be the Slovak premiere of this play. A play about how history is cooked... Or about why Hitler's family can't have a child, what happens in the camps, what is the recipe for a good cake, or why there are so 'many synagogues in Košice and so few Jews. The production is to commemorate the most frightening events in the history of the twentieth century. Events that need to be constantly talked about. However, the form in which we will look at the world of 60 years ago is full of irony, cynical humour and satire. Because laughter is the only remedy that heals.

'I tell you that humour survives everything, even history itself. Humour is an absolute value, without time and space.
