BOOKS AND THEIR FATES: BOOK OWNERS THROUGH THE CENTURIES

Service Hall, Hlavná 10
We like to mark our possessions; in the past, books were a reflection of their owner’s status. This poster exhibition will take us on a journey through the stories of books spanning five centuries and show us the diverse range of people and institutions that owned them. Or, in the words of the ancient grammarian Terentian Maurus, “habent sua fata libelli”—books have their own destinies.
