Creative Drumming

We look forward to welcoming you to Výmenník Wuppertálska for our Creative Drumming workshop!
Join us for an energetic activity focused on rhythm, relaxation, and group dynamics. We’ll explore intuitive drumming on the djembe and discover our own creative voices within a shared rhythm. This activity is suitable for both beginners and advanced participants.

Our community is built on sharing skills, so toward the end of the session, more experienced drummers will be happy to teach others who are less experienced the basic techniques and rhythms.
Why drumming on the djembe is a great activity:
Drumming significantly promotes and develops:
Concentration: Active rhythmic playing improves concentration and mental focus.
Motor skills: It exercises both fine and gross motor skills and coordination.
Heart rhythm: The natural resonance with the drum’s rhythm harmonizes the body, as drumming intuitively mimics the heartbeat.
Nonverbal communication: Playing together teaches participants to listen and communicate effectively without words.
Friendships: Creating a shared rhythm strengthens cohesion and builds friendships within the group.
Come enjoy the joy of creative play and a shared experience! Ideally, bring your own drum (djembe) or other rhythmic musical instrument (e.g., percussion). A few instruments will also be available on site.
