What happens when fabric ceases to be just fabric? Folding, overlapping, scrunching, or layering can create entirely new surfaces and shapes. An October afternoon at Fashion KidLabe—on October 20, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at SteelPark—will be dedicated to just such children’s “experiments.”
Ribbons, strips of various widths, tulle, and other pieces of fabric will appear on the work tables. By combining them, children will create three-dimensional motifs and small ornaments that will later be used in upcoming fashion collections.
The workshop will be led by fashion designer Jana Polak.
