Forever

A tragedy brings together a mother, her daughter, and a teenage boy, all struggling with feelings of guilt and the search for forgiveness. The unlikely trio sets off for Tenerife on a family vacation that never happened. Under the scorching sun, the past and present begin to subtly intertwine.
Just before leaving for a family vacation in Tenerife, Jessie sneaks out with her boyfriend Lux. Under the influence of drugs, Lux falls asleep and doesn’t notice that Jessie is walking too close to the edge of the roof where they are lying... A year later, Jessie’s mother, Ella, and her younger sister, Melli, are cautiously adjusting to their new, fragile routine—a routine that is disrupted only by a reunion with Lux. Although Ella doesn’t want to admit it, she subconsciously blames Lux for Jessie’s death. On a sudden impulse, she decides to take him with her on the vacation she had originally planned with Jessie. But the trip, which was meant to be an escape and an attempt at forgiveness, turns into a confined space where the boundaries between the past and the present, between memory and the desire to bring back what no longer exists, are subtly blurred.
