Hit the Road | comedy

One pallet of tiles, three craftsmen, and a plan that was supposed to result in a quick profit. Instead, a series of unexpected twists, sharp dialogue, and thoroughly tangled situations unfolds. The comedy *Práskni do bot*, directed by Jan Hřebejk, will be shown on March 3, 2027, at 7:00 p.m. at the Historic Town Hall in Košice.

During their lunch break, a group of typical Czech tile setters decide to steal and then sell a pallet of tiles. At first glance, the simple plan gradually turns into a series of comical situations, unexpected events, and revelations.

Quirky humor, original vocabulary, and sharp dialogue drive the story forward, showing that there may be much more behind every decision than meets the eye.

The comedy *Práskni do bot* offers a healthy dose of self-deprecating humor, situational comedy, and moments in which many viewers may recognize themselves. Because sometimes all it takes is one “brilliant” idea to turn an ordinary lunch break into a problem that can’t just be brushed aside.

The play is directed by Jan Hřebejk, one of the most prominent Czech film and theater directors. The lead roles are played by Jan Hrušínský, Jan Řezníček, Martin Sitta, and Václav Liška.
