KUMŠT | theatrical comedy
What can disrupt a long-standing friendship? The comedy *KUMŠT* offers humor, differing opinions, and unexpected twists, brought to life by the popular trio of actors Martin Mňahončák, Gregor Hološka, and Csongor Kassai. The performance will take place on April 12, 2027, at 6:00 p.m. at the Historic Town Hall in Košice.
The story of three longtime friends begins quite innocently. When one of them decides to live on his own for the first time, a debate erupts among the friends that gradually reveals their differing worldviews. What initially appears to be a trivial situation turns into a test of friendship filled with witty dialogue, conflicts, and dramatic twists.
KUMŠT is a comedy with moments of a more serious tone that takes a lighthearted look at human ego, differences of opinion, and the need to always be right. As the play so aptly puts it: “When I say, ‘In my opinion,’ I mean ‘objectively’…”
The play was written by French playwright Yasmina Reza, for whom KUMŠT is one of her most successful theatrical comedies. The work has been translated into 35 languages and has won numerous international awards.
The performance is not suitable for youth under 15 years of age.
