LEGOSVET BY SAMKA
The Slovak Technical Museum in Košice together with its partners presents an exceptional exhibition LEGOSVET BY SAMEK, which brings closer the work of a young autistic man Samuel Deč from Košice - a talented builder of LEGO models, Special Olympics athlete, editor of the TV show A We Are Here and a man with an inspiring story.
'These children are amazing and special, although very challenging. The exhibit he has built and is presenting will open your eyes and hearts and show how smart and skilled he is in his world according to Samek,' describe parents Katka and Paul.
LEGO helped him develop logical thinking, spatial orientation and patience, while sports gave him confidence. In the Smile at Me Sports Club he became a multiple Slovak champion in athletics and cycling or a regular winner of bowling tournaments.
The exhibition LEGOSVET BY SAMKO presents dozens of his models, photographs, sports achievements and personal stories. It is proof that autism is not a barrier to creativity or success. 'The exhibition will also include information to help visitors navigate the diagnosis of autism, organizations that provide support to people with autism and their families. Visitors have the opportunity to get a lot of useful information from early diagnosis to how they can support a person with this diagnosis,' added Eva Turáková, director of the Private Joint School in Prešov/Autisti Prešov
