Imagine a day that acts like a friend. It’s called Tuesday, and it makes sure the world is a beautiful place. One morning in the park, when Tuesday spotted a grandmother with a sad smile, he quietly reminded her of a memory from long ago. Once upon a time, a little doll—Miss Zemiačková—went missing from a basket, and that set off a miraculous chain of kindness: a little girl, after recovering from an illness, learned to play the piano thanks to the doll and once gave a concert so beautiful that a father in the audience wrote a long letter to his son; the boy, holding the letter, climbed a tall tree out of joy; a car drove past the tree, and the woman behind the wheel stopped; she remembered the boy on the branch and, once home, captured that moment on canvas; The painting hung in the gallery for years—until another boy saw it, longed for a tree, saved up for one, and brought a young sapling home. From a little doll grew a great story of kindness—an unassuming chain of events that changed both people and days.

Marek Zákostelecký’s directorial and visual style employs clean, clear images and a playfulness that invites children to fill in the story with their own imagination. Martin Husovský’s music sensitively underscores shifts in mood, so that even the youngest audience members can easily recognize moments of joy, sorrow, or courage. Lukáš Kopas’s translation preserves the original poetry of Daisy Mrázková while making it accessible to children as young as three—without scaring them, without an overload of words, with gentle humor and a clear narrative thread. The result is a tender, visually appealing, and poetic production that respects the rhythm of a child’s perception and attention span. It is built on a loving dialogue between Tuesday and Grandma, on a child’s imagination, and on the belief that the world is always beautiful when we make it better for one another through small gestures.

The production *Wonderful Tuesday* also offers natural educational connections: recognizing and naming emotions, understanding the consequences of mistakes and the power of an apology, intergenerational dialogue with respect for elders, and a relationship with nature—from the desire to have “one’s own tree” to the first steps toward responsibility. The story directly encourages follow-up activities in the classroom or at home: drawing a “wonderful day,” creating your own mini-concert of three notes, making a classroom “art gallery,” or planting a herb and caring for it. It’s the perfect choice for first-time theatergoers: clear situations, gentle humor, visual simplicity, and music that gently guides the children—without moralizing.

The production is intended for audiences ages 3 and up.
