What if the person you love suddenly forgets who you are? And what if you’re not sure whether you want to tell them the whole truth? The answers will be revealed in the intimate theater production *Marital Murder*, which will be performed on March 20, 2027, at 7:00 p.m. at the Historic Town Hall in Košice.

A married couple is returning home from the hospital. He has suffered an injury and, as a result of amnesia, remembers nothing—he doesn’t recognize his wife, his life, or his own past. She tries to help him piece together the fragments of his life and remind him of their relationship.

But gradually, questions arise that aren’t easy to answer.

Is everything his wife tells him true? What actually happened on that fateful night? And what will happen when his memory begins to return?

The story unfolds in an intimate acting duet between Jaroslav Dušek and Nataša Burger, who play out an unpredictable game of cat and mouse. Humor meets tension, and every new line of dialogue could change our perspective on what really happened between the couple.

*Marital Murder* is a true comedy about life as a couple, trust, memory, and the secrets we sometimes prefer to keep hidden. It will draw the audience into the story gradually, but all the more intensely for it.

The production is directed by Jan Hřebejk, a well-known Czech film and theater director.
