Oh, Those Women of Ours | Theater Comedy
Three decades of friendship, a group of friends, and a host of unspoken truths. The comedy *Oh, Those Women of Ours* reveals what happens when, during an ordinary card game, old grievances are brought up and long-standing relationships are called into question. It will be performed at the Historic Town Hall in Košice on March 21, 2027, at 7:00 p.m.
Max, Pavol, and Šimon are three friends bound by decades of shared experiences. Each is different—the perfectionist Max, the loner Pavol, and the egotist Šimon. But when an ordinary get-together turns into a battle for truth and justice, secrets, old grievances, and uncomfortable questions begin to surface.
With humor and a light touch, this comedy explores male friendship, romantic relationships, and the ability to admit one’s own mistakes. It shows how well we really know the people closest to us, and whether friendship can withstand the test even when we stop going easy on each other.
This play by French author Eric Assous combines funny situations, awkward moments, and unexpected twists with themes that touch each and every one of us. Audiences can look forward to intelligent humor and thought-provoking questions that may make them realize they’ve experienced similar situations in their own lives.
The comedy stars Karel Roden, Juraj Kemka, and Marián Roden, alternating with Ernest Čekan. Jakub Nvota directs, and the production is presented by the Povalač Theater.
