One day, a little owl falls out of its nest. Suddenly, it finds itself alone in the middle of a vast forest, and more than anything else, it longs for just one thing: to find its mom. A squirrel sets out on the journey with him, and together they meet animals that always resemble its mom in some way, yet are not her. The original production *The Little Owl*, inspired by the picture book *A Bit Lost* by Irish author Chris Haughton, transforms a simple and tenderly humorous story into a tale of separation and return, about trust, closeness, and a safe place from which we can set out to discover the world.

*Sovíča* invites its youngest audience members into a soft, colorful, and ever-changing world where the forest becomes a playground full of hiding spots, nooks, and little adventures. Here, words give way to images, movement, music, rhythm, light, and touch. Puppets made of soft materials, playful set design, live sounds, lullabies, and “wake-up songs” create a sensitive sensory experience rooted in the way children in their early years learn about and perceive the world.

For many of them, *Sovíča* may be their very first visit to the theater. The production therefore does not create a world that children are merely supposed to watch quietly, but rather a safe space for a shared experience for both them and their loved ones. It tells the story of the moment when a child needs to break free in order to take their first step into the unknown, while knowing that they have a place to return to. Because the courage to discover the world begins when we feel that we are not alone in it.
