The workshop will focus on the following topics:

  • developing and utilizing inner potential

  • working with the mind and imagination

  • the art of concentration

  • Stoic values and principles for everyday life

  • pushing one’s own limits

In the classical sense, philosophy is understood as the love of wisdom applied in practice. It is a search for ways to expand one’s mind and heart, to discover and develop one’s inner potential, and to find an increasingly appropriate and wise attitude toward oneself, one’s surroundings, and the situations in which we find ourselves.
The workshop “Philosophical Exercises for Personal Development” offers guidance and exercises for self-discovery and inner growth, inspired by classical Western and Eastern philosophies.
Together, we’ll try out various exercises to develop our inner potential and push our own limits; we’ll explore Stoic principles for everyday life; and we’ll practice exercises to develop concentration and imagination.

Advance registration is required so we can prepare the necessary materials. (Register by email)

The event will take place on two different dates, with the same content.

The evening will be led by the head of the Košice branch, Mr. Rastislav Harčarufka, a New Acropolis instructor who has completed a program of study in Eastern and Western philosophy, psychology, ethics, and symbolism.
