*Bardotky* is a comedy that celebrates friendship, freedom, and the desire to live life to the fullest—regardless of age—with humor and a lighthearted touch. The film stars Dagmar Havlová Veškrnová, Eva Holubová, and Pavlína Pořízková, for whom this marks her first appearance in a Czech feature film, though not her first acting experience. The world-renowned supermodel has previously starred alongside Hollywood stars such as Johnny Depp, Al Pacino, Mickey Rourke, and Faye Dunaway.
The trio of friends, who are long past their twenties, have been through life together since college. While Meda struggles with loneliness and Iva with a marital crisis, Valerie returns from America after many years, bringing new energy into their lives and the conviction that if they don’t start living now, no one else will do it for them. And so they find a new lease on life, because it’s hard to talk about a “second wind” once you’re in your sixties.
Together, they set out on a journey during which they’ll experience a host of unexpected situations. A wild party awaits them, followed by a visit to a coffee shop, and they eventually end up at a vineyard, where, after a few glasses of wine, they realize they’ve been hiding one big secret from each other for years. And the real ride is just beginning…
