Sherlock Holmes' Laboratory at SteelPark | workshop
Secret writing, invisible clues, and mysterious hints. On October 18, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., Sherlock Holmes’s Laboratory invites you to SteelPark’s science playground to explore a world where detective work meets chemistry and forensic science.
Traces often remain at the crime scene that aren’t visible at first glance. During the workshop, participants will take on the role of detectives and, using scientific methods, will try to uncover what’s really behind the mysterious case.
They’ll work with test tubes, pipettes, and special solutions that can reveal the presence of specific substances. The investigation will also involve secret writing and fingerprints, which can be important clues for a true detective.
Behind each task lie the principles of chemical reactions, the properties of various materials, and methods used in real-life forensic science. A color that unexpectedly changes or a clue that suddenly appears can thus determine the course of the investigation.
Sherlock Holmes’ Laboratory will show that a keen eye alone isn’t enough when conducting an investigation. Sometimes, science is the best detective of all.
