Small Theater: Marguerite (Premiere)

Is a woman in a relationship merely a product? What lies behind the glitz? The play *Marguerite*, loosely inspired by Alexandre Dumas, Jr.’s classic *The Lady of the Camellias*, seeks answers to these questions as well.

Directed by Slavomíra Fulínová, the story unfolds around a woman who would like to transcend social conventions, but the world around her has strictly defined rules. The desire for personal happiness must often give way to generally accepted and established norms of contentment. And so freedom is curtailed, and one must, willingly or unwillingly, conform.

Come find out if, at the end of the day, each of us isn’t just a clown taking off their mask.
