Time

We invite you to a discussion about November ’89 that will avoid pathos and celebratory rhetoric. During this moderated discussion, we aim instead to create a space for reflection on the current social situation in relation to the values of November.

Story & Milan Kňažko (concert)
Milan Kňažko is not only one of the key figures of November ’89 and an actor, but also a singer with a distinctive, somewhat Cohen-esque style. Since 2019, he has been collaborating with composer and bass guitarist Marian Zima. In his musical project Story, he sings alongside other artists such as Michal Prokop, Martin Chodúr, Peter Lipa, Pavol Hammel, and Zuzana Homolová. Story recently released their second studio album, *Takzvaná duša*, after a four-year hiatus, and it has been very well received in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

In addition to Story’s original compositions, such as *Potlesk v stoji* and *Takzvaná duša* (for which the band filmed a music video featuring another acting legend, Emília Vášáryová), as well as chansons penned by Jacques Brel and Serge Lam, and other musical treats. The songs are performed in three languages, with spoken narration providing translations. The Story & Milan Kňažko project was also recently featured on public television.

The evening will be rounded out by other outstanding instrumentalists: pianist Pavel Morochovič (Morochovič / Griglák / Valihora Trio) and saxophonist Erik Rothenstein. Musical direction: Marian Zima.

The evening is organized in collaboration with the informal group Košice Spoločne.
